THE NATIONAL Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is now a calenderised annual event, eagerly awaited by Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and its stakeholders. Released on September 5, this year the NIRF completed a decade. As has become a practice, in this edition, the NIRF added a new category on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), aligning with global benchmarks. It introduced negative marking for retracted articles, placing stronger emphasis on academic integrity and quality.
