Trio's timely return boosts England's World Cup bid

ENGLAND'S preparations for the World Cup received a boost this morning, as Adil Rashid, Jason Roy and Dawid Malan all returned to training ahead of tomorrow's Third ODI against New Zealand.
The four-match series, which is level at 1-1, is England's final run of 50-over matches before they fly out to the tournament in India, with the three ODIs against Ireland later this month set to be fulfilled by a second-string side.
So far, however, Jos Buttler and Matthew Mott have been frustrated by a series of niggles and availability issues which have denied them the chance to trial a first-choice XI against the Black Caps.
Roy is yet to feature in the series, having suffered a back spasm on the morning of the opening game, while Rashid and Malan both missed Sunday's 79-run win at the Ageas Bowl, the spinner with a tight calf and Malan to be at the birth of his second child.
