Poker winner in cheat storm over 'vibrating ring'
Evening Standard
|October 03, 2022
POKER is the latest game to be hit by a cheating scandal with a player insisting that she did not use a vibrating ring to win at a Las Vegas tournament.
The controversy blew up after inexperienced player Robbi Jade Lew, 35, claimed a £241,000 prize with a weak hand — prompting allegations she would only have gambled on it if she had known she was guaranteed to win.
Her rival Garrett Adelstein, who lost out on the prize, openly accused her of cheating by using a “device hidden that simply vibrates to indicate you have the best hand”.
