ENGLAND’S rugby stars were today told “the nation is behind you” as they prepare to face defending champions South Africa in tomorrow’s crunch World Cup semi-final
Former England captain Chris Robshaw and his singer wife Camilla Kerslake, inset below, were among the fans roaring on Steve Borthwick’s side ahead of the match, set to bring a multi-million-pound boost to London’s pubs and bars.
The team take on the Springboks at the Stade de France in Paris at 8pm for a place in the final the following weekend against either New Zealand or Argentina. Pub operators across London say they expect huge numbers to watch a grudge match that is a rerun of the 2007 and 2019 finals when England were beaten on both occasions.
