RALLYING CRY AS BOSS SEEKS WIN TO PROPEL ARSENAL TO NEXT LEVEL
MIKEL ARTETA believes reaching the Champions League semi-finals would have a transformative effect at Arsenal and has told his players: "Make your own history." Arsenal face Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarter-final on a defining night in Germany.
The tie is in the balance after a 2-2 draw at Emirates Stadium last week, but history is against the Gunners as they bid to reach the last four of the Champions League for the first time in 15 years.
Arsenal have been eliminated by Bayern in their four previous European knockout meetings and have lost 5-1 on their last two visits to the Allianz Arena.
Defeat tonight would leave their season in danger of unraveling after Sunday's 2-0 loss against Aston Villa handed control to Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
