Hanlon relishing opportunity in the Rovers hot seat
Edinburgh Evening News
|November 19, 2025
Following the dismissal of Barry Robson, a Hibs icon could be the next man to be in the Raith Rovers hot-seat, writes Alistair Gordon.
After one win in six, the former Aberdeen gaffer was issued his P45 earlier this month, with the Kirkcaldy side sitting seventh in the Championship table.
In the meantime, Hibs legend, Paul Hanlon has taken interim charge of Rovers, but his first ever match as a coach didn’t go to plan.
The Airdrieonians hammering at the weekend showed that Raith could be in big trouble this season as the search for a permanent gaffer continues.
While Hanlon insists that his full focus is on the next game right now, the Raith board have insisted they aren't going to ‘rush’ into any decisions in terms of the appointment process, meaning if he can turn things around over the next few weeks, he could be in contention.
