Eurovision is getting shorter, but I still can't be persuaded to watch

It seems strange to be writing about next year's Eurovision when this winter's pantomime season is barely under way, but it has been a story I've been keenly following all week.

And I am not a fan, having not watched the contest in decades.

This has nothing to do with my gender, age or sexuality. I actually know some older, straight males who still tune in avidly. Whether they do so voluntarily, I cannot say.
