Developer pledges green space, play areas and community allotments in 200-house scheme

COUNCIL officials have called on the developer behind a proposal to build 200 homes to show how it will mitigate the additional demand on local services.

Gladman Developments Ltd has applied to East Lindsey District Council to build the properties, with public open space, landscaping, sustainable drainage system and associated infrastructure, on land west of Tothby Close, Alford.

The outline planning application was accepted by members of the district council's planning committee at a meeting on Thursday, December 4, but they asked the developer to make some amendments.

Dr Lynnette Pryke, chief executive of Alford Town Council, was invited to the meeting to put across what she would like the applicant to take into consideration.
