Speed cameras to improve road safety

Temporary average speed cameras have been installed to begin enforcing the speed limits on the A75 between Newton Stewart and Creetown.

The new measure is part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety along this stretch of the trunk road which is a key route through Dumfries and Galloway.
Police Scotland said:"By identifying sections of this road which would benefit from the introduction of the temporary average speed cameras it allows mobile resources to be allocated elsewhere within Dumfries and Galloway”
