A total of five sites in Dumfries and Galloway have successfully secured funding to have Changing Places Toilets fitted which give greater freedom and independence to residents and visitors with profound disabilities and complex needs.

The Changing Places Scotland Fund, backed by Scottish Government investment, is supporting 59 new Changing Places Toilets across Scotland. Summerhill Community Centre in Dumfries has been awarded £105,593 for a new Changing Places Toilets in a standalone building to enhance its Environment Umbrella Project. A Patch Ae Land has been given £92,066 for a standalone CPT in their Sandside community garden which can be used by any individual with complex disabilities in north
