Pressure's on for a few bosses already
Derby Telegraph
|October 30, 2025
SACKING season is approaching in the Championship.
Two managers have already been given the boot so far this term, with summer appointments Ruben Selles and Paulo Pezzolano not getting to see in autumn at Sheffield United and Watford respectively. Both clubs have returned to old bosses.
There are a couple more managers already feeling the heat as the evenings get colder and the league table starts to settle, even if the division is still incredibly tight.
There are three more games to go before the next international break and it will be an interesting few days.
The mood swings quickly at this level and Ryan Mason hasn't had an easy few days with West Bromwich Albion, Valerien Ismael has a tough job with Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town's Kieran McKenna is being linked with Celtic.
And how about these...
Norwich are 23rd and have lost five games in a row. Manning has lost all six of his games at Carrow Road since taking the job.
"Club owner Mark Attanasio is heading over this week," writes Chris Goreham in the Pink Un in Norwich.
"Hopefully his flight from America to London will be a smooth one because he will hit no end of turbulence when he arrives in Norfolk.
"Norwich will play another 12 league games before they can make any more meaningful signings. If they get only another eight points in that time they could be well adrift by the turn of the year.
