'Overwhelming demand' for group inspires hunt for new premises
Derby Telegraph
|July 30, 2025
A COMMUNITY group has started its search for new premises after outgrowing its old space due to overwhelming demand.
-
Dronfield Woodhouse Community Support Group, which holds sessions to help people improve their mental health and combat loneliness, is now looking for a new home which can accommodate its ever-growing demand.
"Our current home can hold up to 25 people seated, but really only 23 fit in when you want to move around safely. Especially our Monday group which is at full capacity now," said founder Farida McGann.
"We would love to stay at our current hub, but it is simply not possible as we have outgrown it completely."
