NHS England officers see progress made on electronic records at Royal Derby

UNIVERSITY Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) recently welcomed chief information officers from NHS England to showcase the impact being made by its digital transformation programme.

The visitors, chief nursing information officer (CNIO) Helen Balsdon, chief midwifery information officer Jules Gudgeon and NHS England - Midlands regional CNIO Deanne Driscoll, met trust staff at Royal Derby Hospital.

The digital transformation allows colleagues to use the same systems across all sites, improving ease of access to data, leading to better patient safety and supporting clinicians to allocate more time to delivering care.
