LOWDOWN ON AZERBAIJAN INTERNATIONAL WHO COULD BE ON RADAR AT PRIDE PARK THIS SUMMER

DERBY County are busy preparing to make their first signing of the transfer window, which reopens for business on Monday.

It will be the first chance for head coach John Eustace to put his own imprint on the Rams squad, with every area of the team expected to be strengthened.

One of the biggest challenges is strengthening an attack that struggled for goals last season, with nearly half of the Rams' 48 goals coming from set-pieces.

On-loan forward Jerry Yates was the leading scorer with 10 goals and that is a figure that needs to be improved as the club strives for a much more comfortable campaign in the Championship.

One player who has been linked with the club is Azerbaijan international Mahir Emreli and here we look at the forward who is available on a free transfer.

Where was he born?

Tver, Russia. He is 27 years old.

What is his background?

Emreli began his footballing education at Bak, joining the club in 2006. He eventually went on to make his debut for the first team in the Azerbaijan Premier League in 2014. He plays as a striker but started out as a winger.

Who has he played for?
