Knife-wielding robber struck twice in space of 60 minutes

A KNIFEPOINT robber who targeted two victims within an hour of each other in Derby was arrested just 10 minutes after he committed the second crime.

Derby Crown Court heard how Adam Short targeted his first victim in the city centre before striking again in Normanton.

The first attack happened when a 45-year-old man was walking along Becket Well Lane, close to Vaillant Live, when he was approached by the defendant who was clutching a knife and demanded he hand over his phone.

When the victim refused, the 27-year-old attacker cut him to the neck, before fleeing the scene.
