Hall to be lit up for Diwali with sun-like artwork, garlands and lamps

FROM today until November 2, a National Trust property near Derby will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of Diwali.

Staff and volunteers at Kedleston Hall have curated an immersive experience featuring light projections, traditional lamps, sari fabrics and marigold garlands throughout the historic rooms

Kedleston Hall is the last venue on a National Trust tour to display Helios, a seven-metre suspended artwork by artist Luke Jerram.

From October 17, visitors will have the chance to view Helios in the saloon.

with local communities and inspired by the hall's historical ties to South Asia.
