PRACTICE NEEDS MORE ROOM BECAUSE IT IS 'AT CAPACITY'

- By NIGEL SLATER Local democracy reporter

A DENTAL surgery in Derby is set to be extended to treat more patients urgently amid a dentistry crisis.

Derby City Council has given the go-ahead for Blagreaves Dental Practice in Littleover to build a first-floor side extension.

The plans come at a time when low numbers of people are getting access to dental care in Derby and beyond. It was previously reported a third of children in Derby were not accessing a dentist and a significant number were suffering tooth decay.
