Charity protecting young people gets £5,500 boost from race night

DERBY children's charity Safe and Sound raised more than £5,000 at a race night last week.

The city charity dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people affected by child exploitation announces the "overwhelming success" of its event held at Great Northern Classics.

More than 100 attendees gathered for an evening of horse betting, camaraderie and fundraising, collectively raising £5,500.

Every pound raised will directly support Safe and Sound's work to prevent, support and help rebuild the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Derbyshire.
