Apartment plans for police station could get go-ahead
Derby Telegraph
|September 26, 2025
PLANS to turn a former Derby police station into more than 100 new apartments could be getting the goahead next week.
Serious concerns have been raised about the state of the building on Cotton Lane, in Osmaston, with fears over children trespassing into dangerous grounds.
The site has stood empty for the last few years since officers moved into a new police station in Ascot Drive. Now it is in a poor state of repair, with boarded-up and smashed windows.
Osmaston councillor Sarah Chambers publicly warned the community about the dangers of the site on social media and feared a tragedy would happen if action was not taken.
