Salmaan to miss 5 matches

STORMERS captain Salmaan Moerat will miss his span’s first five fixtures of the 2025-26 United Rugby Championship campaign, assistant coach Dawie Snyman revealed yesterday.

The Stormers open their URC campaign on Friday when they tackle defending champions Leinster at Cape Town Stadium.

Moerat, who suffered a knee injury during preseason training with the Stormers, after being dropped from the Springbok squad, is one of the star players who will be sitting in the stands for the big opening game.
