OG CAFE ROCKED BY 'GANG' BATTLE

ONE of the deceased in the two shootings at the popular OG Café in Westgate, Mitchells Plain over the weekend is believed to be an alleged leader of the Firm Gang.

Back-to-back shootings on 31 July and 1 August claimed the lives of two mense and left four injured, sparking major concern among community leaders.

Mitchells Plain Community Policing Forum (CPF) Chairperson Norman Jantjies said they are bekommerd about the ongoing gang violence in the area.

Jantjies explains: “Westgate has always been a relatively peaceful community and now we've witnessed two murders in two consecutive days.

“These incidents are clearly gang related, as the second murder was in retaliation to the first one.
