Hanover Park bays for blood as 51-year-old is charged with rape of girl, 9

HANOVER Park mense are baying for blood after the abduction and alleged rape of a nine-year-old meisie.

A 51-year-old man, a convicted rapist recently released on parole, has been charged with rape and will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court today.

The girl had been on her way to a madressa at a mosque at around 3pm on Tuesday when she reportedly encountered a man who handed her R20 and asked her to buy milk from a nearby tuck shop. She was found hours later at the man's house.

By 8pm, hundreds of enraged residents had the gathered outside Johnvlei Road house.

When the cops arrived, mense demanded he be turned over to the community as they started gooiing klippe at the police's Nyala.
