Schoolgirls injured after Spine Road taxi collision

TWO learners have sustained serious injuries after they were knocked down by a “drunk” taxi driver yesterday morning.

Footage from the scene was posted on crime groups showing the girls lying apart in Spine Road, dressed in their school uniform as they are being attended to.

Spokesperson for the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) Bronagh Hammond said the two girls who were involved in the accident are siblings who are in Grade 3 and Grade 8 and were on their way to school when the incident occurred.
