AFTER a difficult week for English clubs in European competition, attention returns to domestic matters as the Premier League heads into a crucial weekend for the title race.

England's reputation as Europe's strongest league took a blow when none of its six teams involved in the Champions League last-16 managed to win their matches over two days of action.
