DIY rifle seized in a chase

POLICE seized a homemade rifle that looks like an AK-47 following a car chase in Khayelitsha on Monday.

- BY VOICE REPORTER

The intimidating weapon was armed with a magazine and looks to be made of pipes, with a trigger and a strap.

Cops attached to the Makhaza Anti-Hijacking Team spotted suspects in a blue Toyota Etios and gave chase.

However, the skelms got away and abandoned the car but left their DIY vuurwapen in the vehicle.
