DELFT BATTLING A GANG TURF WAR

A GANG turf war has Delft community leaders scrambling for a plan to combat the gun violence, after a man was shot and killed by an assailant on a bicycle on Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting incident took place in Umfuli Street, Leiden, around 12.50pm when the victim was gunned down by a suspect riding by on a bike.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed that a case of murder is under investigation.
Twigg reported: “Delft police registered a murder case for investigation following a shooting incident on Tuesday afternoon, 18 November 2025, at about 12.50pm, in Umfuli Street, Leiden, where an adult male was shot and fatally wounded.
