Carragher: Liverpool are not a top team and Slot has to earn his geld

JAMIE Carragher has blasted Arne Slot’s Liverpool after their second consecutive defeat - a 1-0 loss to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The former Liverpool defender labelled the team “a mess” and said they no longer looked like a top span, pointing out serious defensive issues and a lack of balance in the squad.

Victor Osimhen’s first-half penalty secured Galatasaray’s win, though Liverpool could have lost by a wider margin.

The defeat followed a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at the weekend, casting doubt on Liverpool's early-season form despite their position at the top of the Premier League standings.
