Opposites 'less likely to attract'

THE old saying "opposites attract" isn't true, boffins say.

Dating experts claim romance can blossom between very different people - such as bad boy Danny Zuko and goody-two-shoes Sandy Olsson from 1978 hit film Grease.

But a study of more than 130 personality traits across millions of couples found up to 89% of folk were more likely than not to share similar characteristics.
