RUBEN AMORIM smiles when he thinks about Bruno Fernandes letting his frustration boil over.

The Manchester United manager might normally cut an amiable figure, but he can overreact to adversity in the way his temperamental countryman often does.

"Sometimes he makes mistakes... like me last week," said Amorim, whose exasperation after a home defeat to Brighton led him to bill his own side as possibly the "worst in United history" - a description he later regretted.

But after Fernandes had ensured a deserved Europa League win over Rangers with an accomplished late finish on Thursday night, Amorim was keen to highlight his skipper's leadership qualities.
