Chessum relishes trip into Cardiff cauldron

OLLIE CHESSUM is ready for any stick Welsh fans throw at him ahead of England’s Six Nations clash in Cardiff.

And the lock has told Wales followers the brickbats and abuse will only fire him up for the encounter, with the title still on England's radar.

Chessum’s first experience of getting on the wrong side of the locals, by being an English rugby player in the Welsh capital, came in 2023 when he was part of England’s 20-10 win.

Then, the Leicester man re- vealed, Wales fans were even getting stuck into the squad when they were on the coach going training on the eve of the match - and not just the adults.

Chessum said: "It wasn’t even game day. It was the day before. We're driving through, we pull up at a roundabout and a few vans go by and you get the old beep and what have you.
