ST HELENS star Tristan Sailor has made an instant impact in Super League - including coming up with trick plays which had aficionados scrambling for the rule book.

The Aussie stand-off has won all four games he's played since joining from Brisbane Broncos.

He's also scored five tries along the way and lit up games with moments of magic.

Sailor was at it again with a brilliant shimmy to help set up Daryl Clark's try in the weekend 26-6 win at Wakefield.

But the most eye-catching moment was a bizarre back-heeled kick which almost created a score in Saints' 46-6 romp over Castleford.

Sailor's impromptu effort had commentators gasping but it soon emerged the rarely seen kicks are actually outlawed.

Sailor, 26, admitted: "I had no idea it wasn't allowed if I'm honest. I just sort of did it and it happened.
