BRITAIN faces floody hell as temperatures leap 30C and snow melts just as Atlantic soakings hit.

A 700 mile-wide "subtropical surge" will bring the bone-chilling two-week freeze to an end across most of the country today.

Thermometers will reach highs of 11C-and then rise further to 13C tomorrow.
