Special Wembley day out beckons for RL hopefuls

THE Wembley arch looms large on the horizon for the eight sides gearing up for the semi-finals of the men’s and women’s Betfred Challenge Cup this weekend, with the action played out on the BBC.

In the men’s game, someone other than Wigan Warriors will lift a rugby league trophy for the first time since 2023 at the showpiece final next month, with the holders going out to Hull FC in round four.

Among the hopefuls are 2024 runners-up Warrington Wolves (2-1 outright).
