ENGLAND must see off Spain once more if they are to defend their European Under-21s Championship title after coming unstuck against Germany.

Lee Carsley's side slumped to their first defeat of the 2025 tournament in Slovakia, although they still progressed to the quarter-finals after finishing second in Group B.

But the loss means the Young Lions must now face a Spain side, eager to avenge their final defeat two years ago, in the last eight.
