ANGE POSTECOGLOU says it is easy to stick the boot in on Tottenham.

Well, it certainly is when his players can't even put a foot in.

Spurs went to Anfield with a 1-0 lead in their Carabao Cup semi-final and failed to even register a shot on target as they got thrashed 4-0.

What is almost as bad as that is the fact they didn't even leave with a yellow card.

Now this is not a column advocating dangerous tackles - worthy of bookings - which could injure rivals.

But isn't it saying something about the fight of a side when they're putting in a toothless display and getting turned over that they fail to get stuck in.

In truth, Spurs didn't get close to Liverpool to do so. It was, quite frankly, a pathetic display.

Now this column has been a critic of Postecoglou.
