NICO GONZALEZ has spoken of the happiness in the Manchester City squad - as they eye the top of the Premier League.

City's confidence is growing with their unbeaten streak - and positive news about Rodri's injury.

Pep Guardiola's side became the first team to win at Brentford this season with their 1-0 victory on Sunday to move up to fifth in the Premier League table.

They are on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions and City are feeling good about themselves again, with several stars aiming to return after the international break to further strengthen their hand.

Midfielder Gonzalez said: "We struggled (at Brentford) because they're a good team and put a lot of balls in the air and we had to fight so much.
