AT least a quarter of NHS trusts in England have hiked parking charges for patients, staff or both in the last two years, a study shows.

Some 37 trusts - 25% of the 147 in England raised parking prices between April 2022 and March 2024, Freedom of Information request data revealed.

While 122 of the 147 trusts responded, 25 did not, meaning the number who upped charges may be higher.
