Burgess gives referees a rocket

WARRINGTON boss Sam Burgess blasted Super League refereeing and asked: "Does the game want to improve?

The ex-England captain was left fuming after Alex Mellor's high shot on Josh Thewlis in the 67th minute.

Mellor was sin-binned but Burgess felt it was a penalty try.

Admittedly, Stefan Ratchford did actually score a try in the next set to get his side within touching distance.

So it didn't affect the result as gutsy Tigers deservedly held on for only a fifth win of the season.

But Burgess said: "It's becoming very common, the poor decisions. I'm so confused.
