BEN CURRY admitted his head was spinning after being at the sharp end of England's frantic backs-to-the-wall Calcutta win over Scotland.

Cup The flanker, a 37th-minute replacement for Tom Willis, was part of a defensive display that saw Steve Borthwick's side stay in the match when they should have been blown away.

Stats revealed that England completed 206 tackles, missing 35, compared to Scotland's 91, with 10 misses, as the visitors dominated possession but lost the match.

The Roses' system, devised by defence coach Joe El-Abd, was ripped to pieces by Finn Russell, Duhan van der Merwe and Co forcing them to scramble into last-ditch saves.

Curry made 13 tackles in just over half a match, Ben Earl 17 in the 80 minutes and flyhalf Fin Smith chopped down 16 opponents.
