Billions wasted on useless masks, Still not ready for next pandemic

BILLIONS of pounds was wasted buying unusable PPE and the Government has no plan for stockpiling safety equipment for future pandemics, a damning report by MPs found. 

The Commons Public Accounts Committee claimed the Department of Health had “written off” £14.9billion worth of medical supplies in the past two years, including nearly £10bn of unusable or unneeded PPE, Covid medicines and vaccines.
