DESPITE having a nose like "Shrek", a fat lip and tears of joy running down her face, Melissa 'No Mess' Dixon was happy to live up to her nickname inside the octagon at least.

The Coventry bantamweight had a UFC debut to remember at the Apex in Las Vegas as she outpointed tough Russian Irina Alekseeva.

While not only extending her unbeaten professional record to 6-0, the female English fighter, just the second on the UFC roster alongside Liverpool's Molly McCann, also made some welcome history.
