Time for Ascot

THE final day of the Ebor Festival at York features the City Of York Stakes, which has been upgraded to a Group One.

It features a top-class performer, too, in ROSALLION (3.00). He's become a bit of a bridesmaid, but I expect him to silence his doubters today.

He's a quality miler for Richard Hannon (right) but the drop to seven furlongs should be fine. Rosallion has shown over the past two seasons that he is a proper speed horse and has been tactically caught out over a mile this season.
