Harrison: Calling on Lamps was best move I have made
JACK HARRISON has revealed how a knock on a hotel room door unlocked his belief to be a Premier League star.
The Everton winger, who is on loan from Leeds, will be hoping to shine in today's Merseyside derby clash at Anfield.
Harrison, 26, has hit the ground running since he returned from a hip injury, with his impressive strike against Bournemouth last time out the highlight so far.
He was one of Leeds' better players last season, despite their relegation to the Championship, and now he has finally found his feet at the top level.
But it hasn't been a straightforward journey for Harrison, who was briefly at Liverpool's academy as a youngster before a longer stint at Manchester United.
Then his mother, Debbie, sent him to boarding school in America, where he finished his education on and off the pitch.
He graduated from college and was a first draft pick for MLS side New York City FC, where Patrick Vieira would become boss.
Harrison played with stars like Andrea Pirlo and David Villa but it was fellow Englishman and former Toffees boss Frank Lampard who he learned most from.
