Karen is axed in Strictly bloodbath

KAREN Hauer has been given the chop in the Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer bloodbath.

The Latin dance specialist and former World Mambo Champion had been on the BBC series since 2012 and was the longest-serving woman in the ballroom.

News of her departure comes as several other Strictly pros are said to be facing the axe in a huge overhaul of the lineup of the show, which first aired in 2004.

It has been reported that familiar faces Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk, Gorka Marquez and Michelle Tsiakkas are all set to leave the show.
