JOE Absolom has declared starring in Emmerdale is more fun than EastEnders.

The actor reckons the ITV soap boasts nicer staff and is a lot more enjoyable.

Telly favourite Joe shot to fame on EastEnders in 1997 as troubled Matthew Rose.

His big storyline was the manslaughter of Saskia Duncan alongside Martin Kemp as Steve Owen.

It was a dream job but it wasn’t much of a laugh.
