STEVE Borthwick's England toppled Eddie Jones as they finally got a win after a nightmare November.

But can they do it on a windy, rainy night in Dublin against Ireland, because that is what is coming in the opening round of the Six Nations in early February? The jury is still out.

A nine-try romp against the 13th best side in the world is hard to judge, but it was job done and a Jones-style banana skin avoided.

The Aussie would have like nothing more than to get one over the Twickenham bosses who sacked him in December 2022 - but his side were nowhere near good enough.
