Birmingham boy Yafai is ready to make big moves

GALAL YAFAI is ready to fire up his career thanks to some home comforts.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallist will fight in front of his local Birmingham fans for the first time in a decade tonight.

Yafai, 30, travelled the world as an amateur as he collected medals, while his four previous pro fights have been in London, Abu Dhabi and America.

Now he wants to build a fanbase in his home city, where he takes on former British flyweight champion Tommy Frank.

He said: “I’m excited I get to fight in Birmingham.

“I’ve fought all over the world. It’s my first time in 10 years fighting here so I’m looking to put on a show on Saturday.
