Dutchman gives Rosenior flying start as Blues boss

- BY RYAN TAYLOR

JORREL HATO is relishing the chance to wipe the slate clean after kick-starting a new era at Chelsea with a bang.

The Dutch defender, signed from Ajax last summer for an initial £35.5m, only made seven starts in all competitions under Enzo Maresca, whose spell as head coach ended on New Year's Day.

However, after rifling home the first goal of Liam Rosenior's tenure to get the ball rolling in this five-star FA Cup win at Charlton, the 19-year-old now feels like he's finally arrived in West London. Hato said: "To be honest, I was a little bit surprised when it went in, so that's why I didn't really celebrate too much!

"It was a good hit and I'm just so happy to score for this great club.

"The ball bounced and landed just in front of me, it sat up nicely and thankfully it flew into the top corner.
