SCOTT PARKER has praised the impact of his serial thriller after he had to dish out a Hannibal lecture.

The form of all-action midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, who won a penalty in the crucial Easter Monday win over Sheffield United, helped the Clarets cross the finish line but this season has not always been plain sailing for the Tunisian.

He was sent off against Stoke on New Year's Day for a stamp on Junior Tchamadeu just 18 minutes after coming on as a substitute and incurred the wrath of his manager.

Parker called the sending-off 'indefensible' at the time and admitted Hannibal had 'obviously crossed a line.
