FRENCH TOAST TOP-FLIGHT CALL

TWO French sides will compete in Super League next year after Toulouse Olympique and York Knights were selected as the competition's new teams.

Toulouse will join Catalans in the top tier after an independent panel considered nine applications as part of the process to expand Super League to 14 teams next season.

The French side and York were unanimously selected ahead of London Broncos to take part next year, having placed 13th and 14th respectively on the IMG grading table - London finished 16th.
